Launch of Arts & Health @ NYU

Join us 9–11am on Monday 20th September 2021 for the launch of Arts & Health @ NYU, a university-wide initiative designed to advance research on the benefits of the arts on our physical, mental, and social wellbeing across the lifespan. Leading scholars from across NYU schools and global campuses will present examples of practice. The NYU Creative Arts Therapies Consortium and International Research Alliance will present an update on their WHO commission to map the evidence for the benefits for the arts and arts therapies.

Hosted in Partnership with MoMA

The NYU Creative Arts Therapies Consortium, in collaboration with MoMA, will host a historic convening of charter collaborating centers of the World Health Organization Arts & Health Program. Hosting this meeting at the Museum of Modern Art represents an invitation to Museums and cultural organizations to join forces with researchers and policy makers in advancing the Arts as a new frontier and partner in health, care and wellbeing.
