Freema Agyeman currently plays Dr. Helen Sharpe on NBC’s drama series “New Amsterdam.”
Agyeman will co-star in the upcoming film “The Matrix 4,” alongside Keanu Reeves. She previously appeared on Andy and Lana Wachowksi’s “Sense8” on Netflix, the CW’s “Carrie Diaries” and in “Law & Order: UK.” She also played a major role as David Tennant’s companion in “Doctor Who.”
Agyeman’s other television credits include the leading role in Sky’s TV movie “Rubenesque,” “Old Jack’s Boat,” “Torchwood,” “The Bill,” “Silent Witness and Casualty” and “Mile High.” On the big screen, she has appeared in British indies “Rulers and Dealers,” “North V South” and Jason Flemyng’s directorial debut, “Eat Locals.”
