James Lomax

James Lomax is an  artist working predominantly with sculpture, he largely works with found materials by manipulating and reappropriating to shift meaning and pose questions. He graduated from the Royal Academy Schools, London, in 2022 has undertaken residencies with The New Art Gallery Walsall, Ikon Gallery, The Henry Moore Institute, M74 Mexico City and recently an exchange between Ikon Gallery and Agder Kunstakademi following a visit he made to Norway and Denmark as a recipient of a generous grant from the Nordisk Kulturfond earlier this year. Recent exhibitions include, the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, curated by Ryan Gander, The Black Paintings at Sid Motion Gallery, London, and Echoes of Us at The Box, Plymouth.  His work was recently acquired by the UK Government Art Collection.
